Title
Spectroscopy of rapidly rotating nuclei
Contributors
JD Garrett (Niels Bohr Inst.)
Abstract
This set of lectures on the spectroscopy of rapidly-rotating nuclei is divided into four topics: (i) techniques for spectroscopic studies of rapidly-rotating nuclei; (ii) nuclear shapes at large angular momentum; (iii) the effect of Coriolis and centrifugal forces in the presence of pair correlations; and (iv) the question of whether correlations exist at the largest angular momentum accessible to experiment. Each topic is discussed in a basic, yet modern, manner.
