Abstract	The pyrolytic graphite (PG) analyser bank on the OSIRIS high-resolution quasi-elastic/low energy inelastic spectrometer at ISIS has been upgraded. The graphite is now cooled close to liquid helium temperature to improve the sensitivity of the spectrometer. In this report we ascertain the performance of the newly upgraded instrument via resolution and intensity measurements collected before and after the modifications. In addition, OSIRIS resolution measurements are compared to resolution data collected from the cooled pyrolytic graphite analyser bank on the IRIS spectrometer.
