Title Area coverage studies for millimetre wave services
Contributors
Abstract This paper describes a series of measurements performed to investigate the limitations of the coverage of broadband interactive millimetrewave cellular services at 40.5-42.5 GHz caused by the propagation environment, as part of the ACTS fourth framework project AC215: Cellular Radio Access for Broadband Services (CRABS). This measurement campaign was performed to provide a statistical account of the extent of coverage that such a service may achieve, to give some account of the effects of multipath on the radio channel transfer function and also to give validation and aid the development of prediction tools based on ray-tracing.
