Abstract	This Paper discusses an approach to preservation analysis which is driven by the need to meaningfully reuse scientific data. The development of the preservation analysis methodology presented in this paper was a response to that need. The methodology incorporates a number of analysis techniques and tools into an overall process capable of producing an actionable preservation plan for scientific data. The resultant preservation actions should ensure that future users are equipped with the necessary information to facilitate such re-use.
