Abstract	This paper describes the use of the MAXRAY raytracing subroutines in designing beam line optics for station 9.5 at the Daresbury Laboratory. Examples of the effects of adjusting parameters on a toroidal mirror are shown and explained. A brief explanation of the use of raytracing routines is given to facilitate use of the routines by others. Copies of the program code are available on request.
