An ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes an individual author from other researchers, for example, when they have the same name. STFC authors can add their ORCID id to ePubs to provide a link to their full ORCID profile.  Registering for a free ORCID profile only takes thirty seconds on orcid.org

ePubs collects information about STFC-related publications. Looking at a researcher’s ORCID profile can show you their full career biography and publication history.
